Into Music...

Working in a college have gave me the opportunity to interact with people as mentioned in a previous post . This time I decided to take some extra pictures of instruments during a Jazz concert. Once I finished the shooting I started the edition and I realized that combining the musicians executing their instruments were going to make the series more interested and varied to the people eyes and I did it. I decided to choose the pictures where I juts captured the interaction between instrument and the music player no showing the face. I realized that in that way the pictures become mysterious and more appealing to the viewer, at least that s what I felt so invite you to enjoy them and please leave your comments as well.

Vintage...

Always trying to catch objects through my lens and these old fashioned objects are an example of it. That's why I call the series Vintage. I created a warm atmosphere through the color saturation to keep the oldness vivid on the 8 photos as well as playing with the distance creating intimacy in some of the pictures.

Holocaust Memorial visit

Through these pictures, I wanted to portray my viewpoint about this memorial dedicated to the Jews who suffered the Holocaust in the WW II. This horrible event of the world history has always affected sentimentally others due to the genocide committed by Nazis during the war invasions. With this slideshow, I want to keep alive the suffered faces and bodies made by the sculptor and architect Kenneth Treister who wanted to memorialize the victims. Also I portrayed different Jews symbols such as the star of David with the black letters "Jude" and areas also created by Treister such as the "Arbor of History", “The Sculpture of Love and Anguish", and "The Lonely Path" from where you can hear the voices of Israeli children singing songs dedicated to the Holocaust . Definitely, the visit to this memorial provokes mixed emotions such as sadness, hope, desperation, and anguish for the loss of those people.

Mini Series " What is Left"

What is left is the title for this mini-series where I took pictures in the Coral Castle in Miami, Florida. I just portrayed the vestiges of the man named Edward Leedskalnin who built this fabulous castle for his sweet sixteen love. Through my pictures, I wanted to show once again my attraction for the ugly and textured found objects used by this excellent architect. I played again with the magic of black and white, which emphasized the rough texture of the tools, and I combined it with some color antique appearance photographs, which give at the same time a monochromatic look to the ambiance.
