On Friday, I realized that two of my pictures already taken since I started in my new job were part of an Art calendar for the Spring semester at the school where I work. I felt so exited when I saw them. Do you imagine, since I graduated in 2010 I have been taking pictures for myself as well as occasional events, nothing transcendental to my career till last Friday. The pictures don t have my name but they are mine, am sure about that . It's like having a baby who is starting to develop.
Starting this new job has been allowing me to interact with PEOPLE, a subject matter that until now has been like a NO in my pictures where boxes, buckets, tubes, machinery, trees, water ponds and empty spaces have been the main characters.
This new subject matter is a new start in my career as an artist which has been assigned to catch the essence of events like movement in the dance, students competing in classes , and swearing ceremonies.
This is just the beginning of the my journey catching people all around me. In my previous post I published my mini series Movement in Red as one of my first encounters with people. I really enjoyed catching dancers movement and the way their bodies speak by themselves.
